Dunkin’ Donuts, the national coffee and doughnut chain that opened its first Southern California shop in Barstow in late 2013, has now set plans in motion to open it’s second High Desert store in Victorville. Plans were approved for a 2,100 SF freestanding, sit down and drive-thru restaurant. This new building will be at the northwest corner of Bear Valley Rd & Locust Ave, a signalized intersection.
The chain had been slow to reenter the California market after removing all but one of its locations in the late 1990’s but then in 2013, Barstow welcomed the first High Desert Dunkin’ Donuts location, a small shop in the Barstow Station on I-15. This was the second Dunkin’ Donuts store in all of California, and one of 150 new shops planned for Dunkin’ Donuts to make a comeback in the state.
