The much anticipated I-15 Freeway Interchange at La Mesa & Nisqualli Roads is slated to open at the end of August. The new interchange is located between Bear Valley Road to the south and Palmdale Rd/Hwy 18 to the north.
The $43 million budget allocated to the construction of this project may seem like an outrageous sum, but in this case the juice is worth the squeeze. Much needed and long overdue, this overpass and interchange will benefit the community in numerous ways: provide additional access to the I-15 Freeway, alleviate commuter traffic on heavily congested Bear Valley Road, and reduce local travel times for crosstown traffic.
