The $5.5 billion loan application for funding the XpressWest high speed rail project from Victorville, CA to Las Vegas, NV has been derailed.
As documented in the attached letter to the Government Accountability Office (GAO) from Paul Ryan, Chairman of the House Budget Committee and Jeff Sessions, Ranking Member of the Senate Budget Committee, the “DOT [has confirmed] their decision to indefinitely suspend its review of the XpressWest loan application.”
